Guadalajara is the capital of the State of Jalisco and one of the most famous and important cities in Mexico

Jalisco is famous for being the birthplace of Tequila, Mariachi, Jarabe Tapatío and Charrería, emblematic elements of Mexican culture. It is also known as the “Silicon Valley of Latin America” due to the large number of renowned technology companies in our city.
During your stay, we invite you to explore our most emblematic tourist sites such as the Cabañas Cultural Institute, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, an architectural jewel that you cannot miss; the majestic Degollado Theater or the State Government Palace are other places of cultural interest that are worth visiting or the Guadalajara´s Cathedral, with its iconic facade, a distinctive symbol of the city.
You can also visit important museums such as: the Instituto Cultural Cabañas, where you can appreciate the impressive murals of José Clemente Orozco, the Museo de las Artes de la Universidad de Guadalajara (MUSA), the Museo de Arte de Zapopan (MAZ), the Centro Cultural El Refugio, the Ex-Convento del Carmen, the Museo de Arte Raúl Anguiano (MURA), the Museo Regional de Guadalajara o the Museo Memoria LGBTTIQ+ México among others.
Our city also represents a dynamic and open space for cultural expressions for our LGBTIQ+ community, as evidenced by the Festival Prohibido, Andrógina Festival Diversa, Premio Maguey and a huge cultural and artistic offer organized by the Gdl Pride Committee.
Guadalajara is also part of a Metropolitan Area that includes cities such as Zapopan, Tlaquepaque and Tonalá, each with its own charm and tourist attractions. In addition, within a short distance, you will find beach destinations such as Puerto Vallarta and Costalegre, as well as picturesque magical towns such as Tapalpa, Mazamitla, San Sebastián del Oeste, Lagos de Moreno, Mascota and Tequila, where you can immerse yourself in the richness of Mexican culture.
