SWIMMING WILL TAKE PLACE AT POLIDEPORTIVO METROPOLITANO

The Swimming event will take place at the Olympic Pool with 10 anti-turbulence lanes at the Aquatic Complex of the “Polideportivo Metropolitano” Center and is organized by the Mexican Sports Federation of Diversity (FMDD) and the IGLA (International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics Association) in conjunction with CODE Jalisco and the technical judging of the Jalisco Swimming Association (AJN).

The established rules by World Aquatics (FINA) will be followed with recommendations from the IGLA (International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics).

Individual Events:

18-24 years (pre-master), 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 ... (adding 5-year groups as necessary)

Relays:
The age of the 4 swimmers per relay will be summed up within the following age ranges:
99 and under*, 100-119, 120-159, 160-199, 200-239 (adding 40-year groups as necessary)


Notes:
All ages will be calculated based on the age reached by December 31, 2023.
For relays, participants in the pre-master category can only participate in the '99 and under' relay.
All participants in each relay must belong to the same team.
Relays will be registered before the start of the session on the previous day of the relay event.

Warm-up session: 7:30 am

All relay divisions will be for men, women, and mixed (2 men, 2 women).
For relays, categories will be based on the sum of the members' ages.

All competitors must carry their accreditation as athletes affiliated with WA. If they are not affiliated, Gay Games Guadalajara 2023 will provide them with a temporary one for the competition due to legal responsibilities. For more information, consult IGLA Rule IDI 1.2 (athlete registration).

At the end of the competition, GGGDL2023 will publish official times and results endorsed by AJN, IGLA, and WA, which you can use for your records and result standardization for other competitions.

It is important to note that Guadalajara 2023 will not transfer times/records to your swimming federation. The results from FMDD in this competition will be sufficient to provide evidence to your federation.

*The fees are per person and will be according to the exchange rate of the mexican pesos at the time of registration (the fees will vary depending on each country’s conversion).

The fee for the sport is separate from the general registration fee.

Spectator entrance to sporting events will be free, except for the Galas of Pink Flamingo ™ and Dancesport

The competition is organized by CODE Jalisco and FMDD, with the technical support of the Swimming State Association, affiliated to FMN and FINA with supervision of IGLA.
